UV Stabilised Polypropylene
UV-Stabilised Polypropylene is a type of polypropylene that has been treated with special additives—such as UV absorbers and light stabilisers—to protect it from damage caused by sunlight. These additives prevent the material from breaking down, fading, or becoming brittle when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) rays over time.
Even with stabilizers, the UV protection is not infinite. Prolonged exposure—especially in high UV environments like Australia—will eventually cause fading, surface “chalking”, embrittlement of fibers, or loss of strength. The lifespan depends on how aggressive the UV package is and the local climate.
